Save The Lucas Museum

George Lucas and The city of Chicago wants the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art to be built on the museum campus at the Lake Michigan shoreline. The museum will be built on an existing parking lot and promises to create jobs, more parkland, tourism dollars, and educational opportunities. The museum will be funded 100 percent by Lucas himself - a gesture of philanthropy that the city has never seen before.

But no act of kindness goes unpunished. A small special interest group called Friends of the Park, identifying a legal loophole, has filed a lawsuit to prevent construction on the lake shore. Frustrated with the process, Lucas has announced he is no looking for other cities as options for the museum. We cannot allow this amazing cultural opportunity to slip through our fingers due to the misguided opposition of a private committee.
